What We Do

01.

— What was the focus of the program?

The focus of the series program was to revive the lost ‘Mask art’ and ‘Port art’. And to make a living for the masks and potters of the region. Because in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, those artists were losing their livelihood. As well as bringing people out of blind faith and spreading Mask Awareness among the community people.

02.

— Why was it important?

The powerful creation of lost mask artists and pot artists and their personal response to this epidemic crisis, will make people aware of the impending danger of infection in the mask. In addition to this, the purpose of these artists was to make a living and become self-reliant.

The importance of this series programs was to bring back this lost rural and ancient art. Telling people who are drowning in blind faith why they are wearing this epidemic and masks. And to support these artists emotionally and financially.

03.

— How did the program help in reviving/promoting the local culture?

Bringing people together, inspiring, calming, and sharing the excellence of this art with others, these are the strengths of the art, the importance of which is strongly emphasized in this series program.

04.

— How was it sustained?

Through these radio programs, we encourage these artists to create mythically designed masks with the Covid epidemic in mind, when these masks were blowing due to the epidemic. This inspired the artists and they started making masks with their artistic ideas.

05.

—What was the impact or consequence of the program?

The impact or consequence of these radio shows is that the lost art’s and industry has come back through radio programs as an essential product which is very important in this epidemic. Poor artists survived. Survived is a lost myth art.

06.

— Who will take responsibility in the community for taking the same forward?

Our mother organization D.S.S.B (NGO) is always by the side of these artists. Apart from this, some local industrialists and local administration are also aware of this industry. Local community leaders are also supporting the industry today. We are trying to establish a link between these artists and the government handloom and handicrafts department.

Impact Stories

Great project to work with which is to give a boost and develop the rural sector in the state. The state has a large skill base of people who are adept in the various aspects of bamboo. To encourage private investment in the state, the government also offers attractive incentives for enterprises. The project is to strengthen the community artists in the state and build their competitive advantage through an integrated approach of building infrastructure, linking markets and providing technology, skills, design and institutional development.

The impact or consequence of these radio shows is that the lost art’s and industry has come back through radio programs as an essential product which is very important in this epidemic. Poor artists survived. Survived is a lost myth art.
